Mel Melton & The Wicked Mojos is looking forward to returning to The Blue Note Grill! For those not in the know: the band is fronted by singer/harmonicist Mel Melton, who logged a lot of road time with both Cheniers Clifton and C.J., and most notably Sonny Landreth. He is backed by the fiery guitar work of Max Drake and the dynamic driving rhythm section of bassist T.A. James and drummer Kelly Pace. The Wicked Mojos play a mixture of blues, zydeco/cajun, funk, swamp pop that is best described as “Louisiana Dance Hall Music”. Without a doubt, this band will set your soul and feet on fire.

The Bulltown Strutters
The Durham-based Bulltown Strutters bring the party and shift it into high gear with their raucous mix of old-school New Orleans classics and new-school New Orleans funk, powered by a massive horn section and an extra dose of Durham craziness. A street band? You got it. A stage show? Sure.

Parading inspired by the finest in New Orleans Second Line traditions? Absolutely!
