La Fiesta Latin Jazz Quintet includes award winning composer/pianist Steve Anderson, percussionist Ramon Ortiz, who is a native of the Dominican Republic, Andy Kleindienst, an all-around top musician on bass, and saxophonist/clarinetist/composer Gregg Gelb, winner of the Raleigh Medal of Arts 2018 and NC Arts Council Jazz Composers Award.
The repertoire of this high energy group consists of authentic Latin Jazz made famous by such famous Latin Jazz musicians as Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaria, Horace Silver, Buena Vista Social Club, and Dizzy Gillespie plus original tunes by Gelb, Anderson and Kleindienst. ...
